Julie's Yin Yoga Class

Does your back hurt and your joints feel stiff. Would you like to get ride of those back pains and joint stiffness? Well starting in September Julie Lucchesi, who is one of Oakland Yacht Club’s newest members, will be donating her time to do Yoga Classes on Saturdays from 8:00am-9:00am. The cost is whatever dollar amount you would like to donate and all proceeds go to the Alameda Food Bank. We are hope that members like it so much that we can offer this every Saturday.

The type of yoga is called Yin Yoga. Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as ligaments, bones, and even joints of the body that normally are not exercise very much in a more active style of asana practice.
