Oakland Yacht Club is one of the few clubs in the entire San Francisco Bay Area that owns its own Marina as well as its Clubhouse. We are located in Alameda at 1100 Pacific Marina, overlooking the Oakland Estuary and the City of Oakland. Our weather is usually sunny in the afternoons and much warmer than in San Francisco or Sausalito. For information about available slips for visitors or members, please contact Fred Doering, OYC General Manager, at 510-522-6868 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Our magnificent marina boasts 7 docks, with 211 slips ranging in size from 28 to 50 feet, plus three end-ties. We have reconfigured our harbor and now offer improved cruise-in dockage with 30 amp 125 V power connections and potable water at each berth. All slips also are equipped with dock boxes. Average berth / fairway depths are Nine (9) Feet, Mean Lower Low Water. Parking is free and plentiful at OYC. Full restroom and shower facilities are available, with hairdryers.
We have a recently completed 150-foot Guest Dock that can accommodate visiting yachtsmen and Cruise-ins from reciprocal yacht Clubs all around the Bay Area and beyond. Wireless Internet and cable are also available at OYC, on the docks and in the clubhouse. Additionally, we offer Dinghy and Kayak launch and storage for members and guests. More information about cruising into OYC can be found under our Cruising tab, http://www.oaklandyachtclub.net/cruising/in.
OYC serves several meals every week to which members and guests are invited. We are open weekly for Sunday breakfast/brunch, Wednesday lunch, Wednesday dinner during racing season, and Friday and Saturday night dinners. We also have a Barbeque grill available for use when the Club is not serving meals. To see this week’s menus, go to http://www.oaklandyachtclub.net/galley/menus.
OYC also is conveniently located near restaurants, shops and chandleries. The Marina Village Shopping Center is about half a mile from the clubhouse and marina, with a full grocery, drug store, restaurants, and more. Jack London Square is across the Estuary with a fuel dock, pump- out, dingy dockage, restaurants, Sunday Farmers Market, Yoshi's nightclub, as well as other attractions.
For those members interested in becoming live-aboards, OYC does offer live-aboard slips, limited to no more than ten percent (10%) of the rentable slips in the harbor. To be considered for live-aboard status, a member must have been a regular member in good standing for at least nine (9) months. The Club Manager and Harbor Committee must approve any live-aboard applications.
Contact the OYC Office for a run-down on our current fees. Please note that guests from reciprocal yacht clubs and bluewater cruisers will qualify for discounts on berthing fees when visiting OYC.
