Membership Types

Regular Membership -

Qualified individuals 21-years or older and to any qualified family group consisting of an individual (at least 21-years-old), a spouse or significant other and all children under 21-years-old. Regular Members shall be allowed to keep a boat (or boats) and personal watercraft(s) (kayak, paddle board, etc.) in the Oakland Yacht Club Harbor subject to Oakland Yacht Club Harbor Policies. Regular Members shall have voting privileges and be subject to dues, fees, galley minimums and assessments. Regular Members shall have priority for attending Oakland Yacht Club Social Events.

Military Membership -

Anyone who is a member of the United States Armed Forces. Term is a maximum of three (3) years. At the end of three (3) years or active service, whichever comes first, the Military Service Member may apply for conversion to another membership type as applicable within one year without any initiation fee. Military Service Members shall not be eligible for elective office or to vote on Club matters. The Military Service Member shall be exempt from dues and quarterly food minimums during a deployment.

Additional membership classes offering discounts off regular member pricing including Non-Resident, Cruising shall be applied for after being a Regular member in good standing for (1) year. Oakland Yacht Club also offers Grand Mariner, Gold Mariner, Platinum Grand Mariner, Life and Honorary to qualified members.
